The 11th International Workshop on Multimodal Sediment Disasters (MSD Workshop) will be held in the Library Hall, located on the 1st floor of the Niigata University Library at the Ikarashi Campus of Niigata University.

Access from Niigata city
Niigata city is capital city of Niigata Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan. It is the only ordinance- designated city and the largest city with a population of 775,000 on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu Island. To access Niigata city, visitors generally arrive at Haneda Airport or Narita Airport and then take the ”Joetsu Shinkansen” train from Tokyo.

Access from Niigata station to the Ikarashi Campus of Niigata University
The Ikarashi Campus of Niigata University is situated in the city centre of Niigata City and the best way to reach it is by public transport. JR Echigo Line stations as well as bus stops are all within walking distance

Train(40 min, JPY 242)
Take JR Echigo line train from “Niigata Station(新潟駅)” to “Niigata daigaku-mae Station(新潟大学前駅, Niigata university)”, then walk about 1 km to the campus.
Bus(50 min, JPY 540)
From “No. 7 Stop at Niigata Station” take buses W21 bound for either "Shindai Nishimon(新大西門)" or "Uchino Eigyosho (内野営業所)", and get off at “Shindai Nakamon(新大中門)”.
Taxi(30 min, about JPY 5,500)
Take a taxi from Niigata Station directly to "Niigata University".
