Please note that temperatures in Niigata City can drop towards the end of October. On warmer days, daytime temperatures may rise to around 20°C-22°C, but on colder days with poor weather, the maximum daytime temperature may only reach about 15°C, with nighttime temperatures dropping to around 10°C.
The Aizu and Mount Bandai areas, which we will visit during the field trip, are even colder. The daytime high may only reach around 10°C, while nighttime temperatures can fall to as low as 2-3°C. During the
field trip, we plan to take a sightseeing boat tour, where wind exposure will make it feel even colder. Therefore, we strongly recommend that participants bring appropriate cold-weather gear, such as hats and gloves, to stay warm.
During the field trip, we may walk on the gravel road, please prepare shoes that are comfortable for walking.
